The pond

La Tourbière is tasked with producing intimate and revolutionary performances. Her re-readings of works from the repertoire and her creations are all linked by a formal research, tragicomic poetry and activism. Clearing the way for hybrid practices, building bridges between the families of artists and popularizing what is done on the fringes, that is the essence of her mission. The choice of intimacy is also (and above all) taken at the first level, that is, the choice of physical proximity with the audience. Giving privileged access to Life, matching as much as possible what is experienced on stage with what the spectators can feel, is also the sound conclusion of a lost competition with technology. Simply or not… in her masterpiece En attendant Godot, Beckett gives Vladimir’s character – at the beginning of act 1 – when he is looking towards the room, disoriented – the incredible following small line: «this moor…».
