The bath water

Whether in a lake or in a CHSLD, the bath water moves to create, emerging from the black box to encounter new landscapes and other characters. Based in Chelsea in Outaouais, the organization draws its inspiration from reality and the way to create enveloping universes in which fictional narratives appear and disappear. The installations and theatrical works of L’eau du bain employ a scenic and digital language in which sound and light are designed to vibrate the internal body of the viewer, whether adult or child. With each creation, new rules of the game are established and new machines are invented. Working with and for communities is central to L’eau du bain’s approach; it shapes the interior. We create with people of all ages and from diverse backgrounds to welcome differences and move beyond our familiar territories. For the past few years, L’eau du bain has been seeking to broaden its target audience by offering works that appeal to both adults and children. In this vein, the company has presented the diptych White Out and La chambre des enfants (CNA, Carrefour, FTA), Solarium (Mois Multi, Big Bang! in Ottawa, Lille, Rouen and Antwerp) and De glace (CNA). The more sensory and narrative aspect of the experiences offered allows for great accessibility.
